CMF's administrative costs are funded by donations from our members (see list of affiliates) and the communities they serve. CMF also runs projects which are self-funded either through donations, grants or by charging participants who benefit from them. For example, in the past we have secured funding from “Stronger Communities “fund to purchase projectors and training material to deliver safeguarding. courses. In addition to this funding, we also have access to goodwill from our members in the form of use of their premises, resources and physical human resources. We have access to some excellent venues at our mosques/madrassahs.
This is a strength that we have that we can access all these people who are willing to donate money and time for CMF who in turn undertake work for the benefit of the community it represents.
We do not have any employee related costs as all the work undertaken is through volunteers.
Important - CMF acts as the central body to collect funds from our community to support Sunday and Bank Holiday Burials (please see BEREAVEMENT SERVICES under “OUR WORKS” heading for further details. This money is used to meet the charges levied by Coventry City Council for this service.
Normally, our affiliates help to raise these funds through their congregations and these accounts are managed separately for other CMF funds. This year we are appealing direct to members of the public for donations. If you would like to donate please use the bank details in our DONATE page.
